You know, I think it’d be GREAT psy-ops to start using Bert on EVERYTHING involved in The Effort:

Put his picture in all of the humanitarian relief rations.

Put it on the noses of our bombers

Put it on the helmets of our troops

Put it on the turrets of tanks

…the fantails of warships

…White House and Pentagon briefing podia

…clean-up equipemnt at the WTC site.  
Oh, I don’t know what message the Bad Guys would get out of it, either. Let 'em wonder…

Did they change the site? Or am I simply very unobservant? I can’t find anything remotely resembling Bert there.

Yeah, they cropped the picture to make it Bert-less. If you visit the other thread on this, [linky-link](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=92295), there are other sites listed with the original.
