# Eutychus

We have put **Eutychus** on hiatus as a forum moderator. His status as a Staff Report contributor and SDMB member remains unchanged. Euty has been a valued member of the SD community since our AOL days. In addition to his many years of uncompensated service as a mod, he is the founder and editor of _teemings_, the ezine of the Straight Dope online community. However, relations between him and the rest of the SDMB staff have become strained in recent weeks and this seemed the best solution for all concerned. Our best wishes to Euty and we hope he’ll continue to participate.

Hey, wow, I really like the way that the first and second lines of your headline line up so evenly! I used to be a copy editor, and writing headlines was part of the job, so I remember well the frustration when I couldn’t make that happen.

Well, Cafe Society _is_ **Eutychus** ’ forum, along with **Ukelele Ike** ; posting the announcement here would probably be the most likely place to give the dopers that had the most interaction with him a heads up about what had happened, and the most likely place people would look after seeing **Euty** ’s name missing from the forum moderators list.
