From what I’ve read, the only EVs that lost that much range are the ones without active cooling. Nissan is the only company that still doesn’t use liquid-cooled batteries.
The battery pack is very much repairable. If a battery pack degrades or dies prematurely, it’s usually one cell that is bad. All EV batteries are modular, so this can be repaired by replacing the module that contains the bad cell. Also, all mechanical components in ICEs undergo deterioration too.
I think you are conflating two issues. Batteries perform worse when cold, but cold weather does not cause the battery to degrade faster. It’s the heat that degrades batteries.
