# Evangelicals and Trump

I read recenty - but for the life of me I can’t remember where - that Evangelicals were the _only_ major demographic in which Trump won the popular vote.

I’ve gone through my web history and googled around, but still can’t find the cite/site. Am I dreaming?

Obviously white people voted for Trump, and that’s a major demographic.

Every time I see that, I am unable to process anything for at least 30 minutes. That’s how much of a reboot my mind needs in the face of such stunning stupidity and illogical behavior.

It’s kind of crazy that Joe Biden, who is Catholic, recieved roughly 1% less of the Catholic vote than Trump [in 2020](https://apnews.com/article/votecast-trump-wins-white-evangelicals-d0cb249ea7eae29187a21a702dc84706).
