GRRRR!!! No. And now my husband has banned me from calling apartments because I called a kindly old Russian man an asshole on Saturday.

J: Do you accept dogs?

KOR: OH No. NO DOGS. Just cats.

KOR: (with a patronizing laugh) Cats don’t tear up the place! (more chuckling)

J: Fine, asshole.

As I was reading this thread, I wondered - can a tenant purchase insurance to cover potential pet damage? I would think such a thing would offer more protection to a landlord than any amount of security deposit. \<shrug\> I’ve not rented in nearly 20 years, so I haven’t a clue myself…
