The comment about igloos and such was me being sarcastic/ironic. People used to assume all manner of things about you if you were from Alaska. The closest thing to a ship I’ve been on is the Alaska ferry system with my RV. I’ve never even taken a cruise. In the Navy, I was a Seabee (naval construction force). They rarely serve on board ship, although prior to building the airfield in Diego Garcia, they were transported there by sea. ---
