On the exact opposite side of the spectrum from the OP, I’ve always liked fireworks and would loved a chance to see the biggest one of them all (from a safe distance of course). I was fourteen that night when Armstrong stepped out onto the surface of the moon. I was so keyed up my brain would not let me see what the TV was showing. It was all gray, black and white blotches. Of course I saw the same film again an coule “see” it, but not that first one. I did walk outside, it was clear here, and saw the moon and realized “There’s people up there.” ---
