My employee walked in this morning with a bad cold. She stated around lunch time that she was feeling better but every two hours when her time release medication “goes off”, she gets tingly and lightheaded and has to sit down. Apparently she thought they really were on some sort of timer and didn’t just dissolve slowly giving her medication throughout the day but gave her a burst of drugs every other hour. ---

Put a loud alarm clock under her desk, one of those old Westclox ones. Don’t set the alarm; just let her hear it tick . . . tick . . . tick. Set it on an inverted pie pan for extra tickage. ---

I just ran into a 41 year old man who didn’t know how women urinated. He was completely unaware that women had a separate urethra. This is a divorced man with a daughter. ---

One of our geography teachers has, I believe, a degree in environmental science. This obviously doesn’t include much real science since he has put up posters asking people to count the species of wildlife around the school pond, including frogs, newts and other “reptiles”; and prepared a little presentation for the school TV system that advocated energy saving and talked about how many “watts per hour” you could save by turning something off. :smack: But then, I was in a history lesson once where the teacher gave the dates of the US civil war as 1863 - 1865… and another teacher who seemed to think that the King of England in the _Pirates of the Caribbean_ movies was George the Fifth. :smack: :smack: :smack: ---
