Since \*\*Lobsang’\*\*s thread is apparently about the not-fun side of rope, here’s a thread for the fun side. Bondage! Have you participated as a tie-ee? Have you been a… tie-er? What’s a good word for someone who ties good knots, anyway? (Other than “a sailor”). I’ll go first- had my wrists cuffed and tied with ropes and neckties at various times by an ex. Never been, you know, spreadagled over a barrel. 'Twas fun, though generally I prefer to be the one tying the knots (and/or cackling evilly) myself. ---

I was partway into a long, detailed paragraph about the technical workings of the cuff and rope system my ex and I had going on, but it’s one of those “picture is worth a thousand words” type things and I don’t think I can explain it properly without getting flustered. Basically, we had cuffs for the hands, ankles, and neck, and several ropes that fastened everything together beneath the bed that could be adjusted and cinched as needed. I have a strong preference for being tied to doing the tying, though in the right frame of mind I don’t mind being the one controlling the rigging, so to speak. (I’m sorry if that read a bit deadpan. I tend to write matter-of-factly when I’m embarrassed :o) ---

Lessee…I’ve been kinky all my life but the first time was when I was 18 and he was 16 (meaning technically I was commiting stautory rape when I lost my virginity) and while he was a very sophisicated lover for 16 he got weirded out by my request to be tied up. Since then I’ve run into plenty of people who were ok with it…hand cuffs, spreader bars, those plastic things the cops uses these days (in place of hand cuffs, but as a bondage aside when I got busted for buying $5 worth of coke many years ago, I happened to be wearing a handcuff key on my watch fob…so when the cops put me in handcuffs I took myself back out . Hee hee hee.) When I was in the UK I helped my English paramour put eye hooks in his head board to tie up my arms , and legs spread and elevated. I have a rather wonder picture of me in that position but I don’t think I’d get away with posting it here. He’s since sold the bed, I can only wonder if the new owners figured out what the hooks were for. We also did the wrists tied to ankles thing which I particularly liked. If it were past the 4th I’d have a lot more stories, that’s when I’m seeing my current paramour and he’s putting hooks in the ceiling :eek:😃 ---

My last GF would tie my wrists to the headboard with a silk scarf. No sailor she, I could escape anytime, but I pretended I was truly tied up. It was great, because I was guaranteed a strip show and a long blow job at least. She did all the work, and I just laid there absorbing pleasure. Egads, I miss her. ---

I’m the tie-er. My wife loves to be the submissive one. We don’t use any rope, though; it’s usually things like a towel or nylons. She also doesn’t mind if, while she’s tied up, she’s also blindfolded. ---

I am pretty crazy about the idea of bondage (as a submissive.) I was brave enough to put this into actual practice just once, and god was it hot. My husband said it was the most turned on he’d ever seen me in his life. Definitely on my future ‘‘to-do’’ list. ---

The only place where there’s adequate room for this sort of thing is my attic. So it’s become somewhat of a dungeon by now. My partner loves it when I get creative with his body, but you need a lot of room to spreadeagle and/or suspend someone who’s 6’10". . . vertically or horizontally. ---

Tied and been tied, at the kerchief-and-fake-handcuffs level. Neither was particularly notable in terms of getting a reaction. My partner got a major kick out of both, though, and I did enjoy that greatly. ---

I want to be. I’ve yet to meet someone I could bring it up with though, and the one time I was offered was someone who I wouldn’t do anything with normally (she is, to put it mildly, quite promiscuous as well as being 20 odd years older than myself both of which do not appeal to me). ---

I prefer to tie rather than be tied. But I usually let myself be tied once if we’re doing that kind of thing. It seems like an obligation. ---

Someone really good with ropes? An Eagle Scout. 😃 All I am going to say is that my girlfriend and I are quite thankful that the Air Force issued me two neckties. Soft, broad enough not to leave marks as long as you don’t tie it too tightly, and I can keep them next to the bed without raising any eyebrows when the sergeants inspect the dorm room. 😃 Also, I’ve been handcuffed and searched once, but that was for Security Forces Augment training (basically, they gave us a week of training in being cops, in case the cops were short-handed enough to need the extra manpower). In the context of being handcuffed and searched by a six foot tall dude, not so fun (not much more fun handcuffing and searching him either). That said, securing the girlfriend’s wrists and using a modified form of the search techniques the cops taught us has made for some interesting foreplay.🆒 ---

I prefer to be the one tied up, and blindfolded. My SO does all the work, and I just need to lie there receiving pleasure. ---

Yes, or at least, she did her best with the kerchief and I went along with it. She was rather nervous about the whole thing, so we did it with me with my hands behind my back the first time before we tried tying her up. I’ve got a little more experience with rope, though, and I think it would have taken her at least a few moments to struggle out. ---

An ex-GF and I used to tie each other up occasionally. We’d use my ties or the belt from one of our robes, that sort of thing, no actual ropes, handcuffs or devices meant specifically for bondage. I used to really enjoy laying there and letting her use my body for her own pleasure, then for mine. It was hedonistic. We preferred to tie her hands over her head to the headboard, but together as opposed to spread-eagled, because it made it easier to flip her over for easier access to all areas. My wife and I bought some comfy cuffs at a sex shop about ten years ago, but I think the package is still unopened.
