This is about the message board but it’s not a technical issue so I thought it best fitted here. Do you ever post a thread, and then you can’t for the life of you, find it? I just posted a thread in Cade Society (UT2004 Thread) and then I went up and down the page trying to find it. I began to wonder if I’d posted it in the wrong forum. So I went looking in the other forums, and back to Cafe Society. There it was. I think my brain deliberately ignored it. Like when you are trying to find a pen and it’s right in front of you. ---

Scan your computer for Thread Gnomes. You may have the start of an infestation. ---

Yea, happens to me all the time. And then once, I posted in a thread and thought it’d be interesting, so I came back the next day and it was gone. Couldn’t find it in the search or on the pages or…Went friggin’ nuts trying to find it. And it turns out, one of the Mods had deleted it. But your UT thread is still there, I just posted in it. ---

Usually the blindness isn’t just me. Sometimes I create a post, and hours later, I try using the search function to find it. It seams the search function is blind too. I’ll search using my username (exactly), and everything else is the default settings, except the ‘find posts from’ field. Sometimes I need to use the ‘week ago’ portion just to find a post that I created today. Weird. ---

Click on your screenname, and from the drop-down menu, select “Find All Posts by \_\_\_\_\_\_\_”. That will bring up every single post you’ve ever made. If you can’t find it from there, you’re either delusional or the thread was deleted. ---

Wouldn’t the browser’s Find feature be of any help with that? That’s what I’d use, so as not to inflict more pain on the search engine. ---
