# Ever have a purple haze on your monitor? (NO JIMI HENDRIX REFERENCES!!!)

My monitor has a purple haze or sheen or whatever you want to call it that spasmodically comes and goes. Everything on the monitor is perfectly visible but with a purple tint, but one that only lasts for a few seconds at a time, sometimes flickering and sometimes steady. Any idea how to make this stop?

Indicates you’re losing the green. If you lost red, it would be a cyan haze. If you lost blue, a yellow haze. Could simply be a loose connection. Easiest thing to do first is try another cable.

first just disconnect and reconnect the current cable and see if that makes a better connection, if the cable might be the problem.
