I’m enjoying this thread; it has everything! Humor, drama, romance! I recently turned down a good looking Italian guy because of his puka shell necklace. And the slicked back hair. I’m still not sure which one of those was the deal killer. Maybe it was a combo deal. ---

When I was eighteen, I had a major crush for quite some time on a girl I only knew by sight. I was a shy guy (still am), so It took me a great effort to finally talk to her at some dance we both were at. What do you talk about on a dance to break the ice? Right, music. So when I asked her for her favorites, they turned out to be (note that this was 1986 in Germany) … Modern Talking and C.C. Catch :smack: (the typical Doper may hopefully not know these acts, but they were the most horrible examples of 80s Euro disco schlock you can imagine, and I hated them with a passion). So I mumbled something like: “Well, I’m more into Z.Z. Top”, and that was it. My interest in her had instantly vanished. ---

So, I was at the gas station a little while ago, waiting in line to pay for gas. In front of me was a very good looking chick. She was wearing very nice jeans, expensive boots and had beautiful, shoulder length hair, pulled back into pony tail. I was about initiate some type of conversation with her, until I noticed that it was a guy. ---

I passed on a total hottie once in a bar in Vegas. The petty reasons, you ask? Well, the first one was, my wife was playing nickel slots about 30 feet away. “No problem”, says she, “I’ll do you both.” I replied, “Two of the three of us would really like that.” I left the math up to her. I didn’t even bother to ask how much that would cost me. ---

She wasn’t hot…only fairly attractive. Her bedroom didn’t look like an adults. It looked like a messy 14 year olds room. It kind of squinked me out. I was slightly allergic to her cat so I played that up to get out of there without too many hurt feelings. ---
