I am on like episode 40 of Scrubs and by god I can’t get the voices out of my head! Make no mistake, the show is brilliant but I don’t think the creators ever intended them to be ingested in such volume. To make matters worse I have begun to assimilate traits from each of the characters into my own persona. I AM becoming Scrubs! The scary part is that I have done this before; I watched all of the Arrested Development back episodes in one weekend and spent the following week dizzy from the non-sense. Someone stop me!

I do this all the time during rerun season. Buffy and Angel, Arrested Development, and Gilmore Girls mostly. And why yes, I do occasionally spout Buffyspeak to my confused co-workers. Today my boss asked me what my plan was for a project, and I said _“Plan? I need a plan? Can’t I just be proactive with pep?”_
Thank god rerun season is almost over!

I watched all 144 episodes of _Buffy the Vampire Slayer_ in about three and a half weeks last month.
I’m giving myself a little time before I tackle all the commentaries and extras.

Farscape, Firefly (easy, only one season), Futurama, The Shield, and The Sopranos (I have seasons 1 thru 4 on DVD, and I’ve rented all of season 5).

I do this occasionally with anime series. 26 episodes? I’ll have 'em back by Monday. The exception to this is Sailor Moon, which I deliberately spaced out–then visited a friend and ended up watching the last three disks of Season 1 (17 episodes) in the space on an evening and a morning. But in general, I will watch anime as fast as I get it, and if I get it all at once I will watch it all at once, only breaking for food, sleep, bodily functions and classes.
On the other hand, some series you just can’t help but watch all at once, like the Read or Die OVA (3 episodes).

I got rid of my cable subscription so all I watch now are series’ on DVD, either purchased, Netflix-ed, or by other nefarious means. I am a “completist” by compulsion so I MUST watch the entire series or season as I have them.
I’m not going to show my utter, utter geekiness and list them all (there’s ALOT) but right now I am in the middle of Lost. There’s 35 hours of Lost right now and I’m on hour 22.
Yes. I have missed alot of sleep in the past few days.

I did it with _Sports Night_, and I repeat it with each season of _West Wing_ that comes out. Each season gets finished in about a week. I find myself slipping into “Sorkin-speak” for _weeks_ after that’s over.

I had a lot of free time in 2005 due to depressing personal and professional issues, and I wanted nothing more than to come home to escapist entertainment. Over the course of the year, I watched every episode ever of Buffy, Angel, Firefly, The Office (BBC), Sports Night, and Arrested Development, all of which except Arrested were brand-new to me. And I definitely picked up dialogue and traits as well!

I watched the entire first season of _Arrested Development_ in less than a day. I think it was closer to 12 hours than a day, but I wasn’t in any condition to remember what time I stopped and started after watching that much TV and laughing that much.

I watched the entire Robotech: Macross Saga in one three day weekend. It was very painful.
This year, I watched the entire original Mobile Suit Gundam.

One summer I was living with a friend who had the entire series of _Freaks and Geeks_. My plan was to watch an episode when my other friends would be playing disc golf, since I did not enjoy that game, and I would have something to do instead. I ended up watching them all in two days.

I just finished up doing this with _Wonder Woman_. Surprisingly, while there were a number of total dogs in the third season, many of the eps were much better than I remembered.
I did this with _The Prisoner_ last year and plan on repeating it shortly.

I used to check out an entire series from the library and have 3 days to watch all the DVDs. I find it easier to get through 30 minute shows like the Simpsons easier than longer shows. I own several compete sets on DVD now, but I can’t see watching more than a few episodes back to back unless perhaps I’m sick.

This is nothing to brag about, but yes. Often. I think I have done it more often for one-hour dramas than half-hour comedies. I tend to read entire book series to completion, and watch all of certain film series, and discographies of musicians I like, and sometimes director’s oeuvres, too. I wonder if this is a minor form of OCD?

Just before I went out of town I did a season 1&2 marathon of the West Wing (oh how I wish I had Sports Night seasons 1 and 2 on DVD!). While away, I did a Lost Season 1 Marathon in preparation for the new season beginning here next month.
I’d be in serious trouble if I could ever get my hands on the entire collection of Star Trek: The Next Generation. I think people would file missing person reports on me…
I love to just sit down and watch them back to back, especially with shows with strong story arcs, like Lost. Even better if they have a “Play All” feature and I can just curl up under a blanket with a carafe of coffee and pack of cigarettes at hand, and take bathroom and meal breaks (quickly!) at the end of each DVD. I can get so involved that I’ll completely forget to watch any other shows that are on actual TV that I normally wouldn’t miss for the world.
