You too, scanner and fax machine manufacturers. Now, everyone give their official opinion on whether documents should face up or down in the automatic feeder. Discuss it thoroughly. Everyone should be heard. Now, I’m fucking making a decision and everyone in this room will fucking abide by it. I will not discuss the punishment for disobeying my orders. Let’s just say it involves duplexing, sorting, and stapling your nutsack. A second infraction, and I get out the three-hole punch. ---

I don’t give a shit which direction, as long as it’s consistent. My little pea brain can’t remember anything else otherwise. And don’t even get me going on the times when I want to sort (or is it group?) or print out on 3-hole, or God forbid staple. Cripes. I have a degree in accounting. But get me around the copier and I feel like a 4 year old with 10 thumbs. ---

Hell, I just want the copiers to work like they should, period! But if at least they aren’t about to make it standard as to which way you need to put the paper in the feeder, they could make the itty-bitty pictogram-thingy to tell you which side should be up BIGGER and in a place where you could actually SEE it! The one here at work has this tiny, no bigger than my thumbnail icon, that can only be seen by people who are 5’8" and over, looking at just the right angle, after sacrificing a few tests to the copier gods. And that will work only if the moon is in the right position (gravitational pull upon the light waves coming off of the crappy office lights, ya know). Even then, when you _do_ find that blasted-little icon, it so small it’s hard to tell which way it’s telling you to place the paper! * * * \<\< Pie. \>\> ---

Ah…makes me glad I use [www.efax.com](http://www.efax.com) for my incoming faxes. If some brainchild on the sending end decides to send each page facing the opposite direction (one up, one down, one up, etc.; or even sideways), all I have to do is tell the program to rotate the page the appropriate number of degrees and it’s just the way it needs to be. ---
