As someone who hasn’t watched boxing in years I’m reminded of why I love and hate it. The action is visceral and intense. The performances are staggering in their power and endurance. And the results are random and reek of match-fixing. ---

Yeah it’s very sketchy. Goes in and out. We will see what happens when the main event kicks off. I imagine it will all crash but maybe they are ramping up the server capacity. ---

Nah other shows seem to be working fine. I’m sure the live event has its own servers. Just not enough bandwidth. Live streaming is significantly harder than just serving up canned stuff you can buffer. ---

I do not know but there is a BIG difference between a live stream and their movies which are cached on servers close to you. They cannot load the live stream to your local ISP as they do with movies. ---

There isn’t any way a 58-year old can hang with a 27-year old. Even if the old guy is Mike Tyson and the young guy is only kind of a boxer. Right? And then I just read the promotion company is owned by Paul? Is that right? Obviously the smart money is on Paul. Tyson might just be here to get the paycheck and take a fall. ---

Has Tyson ever been knocked out? Even at 58 he’s a tank and has a sledgehammer fist and a lifetime of experience. Since I am 57 I am rooting for Tyson. But…young people are faster.
