BTW… I have a t3… i tend to forget the modem users out there… so … suffer 🙂 Its one of my only luxuries. Being a poor college student has to have SOME perk. ---

You all need to get a program called transtext. That way, you don’t have those annoying colored boxes around your shortcut names. I chose PhotoShop’s highest jpg quality - it was the only one that looked decent. Hey - looks like I’ve got the only Mac so far! (My Windows desktop is such a cluttered mess…my Mac desktop is much prettier…) Oh, the desktop photo _is_ of Yosemite National Park, taken on one of my many visits. Here’s my desktop. Normally I wouldn’t post inline, but the first poster did, so we have to scroll anyways. And my desktop is only 1024x768, so it’s not a big deal. 🙂 I love ICQ, it’s like a phone, except that you can see who is calling and what they say before choosing to answer. I’m _this_ close to cancelling my land line and going to just ICQ and a cell phone. In the tray you can see Serv-U, DeskMenu, Tray Explorer, WebWasher, Editpad, and ICQ. You can tell by the icons that I’m a bit of a gameaholic, with an entire row devoted to Quake. 🙂 There are more. I’ve got The Sims, and a bunch of others that just don’t have desktop shortcuts. I’m almost always running with an app maximized, so I don’t see the desktop. That’s why I don’t use a background. (Well, that and to save RAM.) That’s what deskmenu is for, it’s a popup of all the icons (in small form) on the desktop. So I’ve always got them available without minimizing what I’m working on. [Image deleted] And, just to gratuitously use bandwidth, here’s a picture of me and a friend, from last year some time. Since then my hair has gotten a bit longer, but I otherwise look the same. Yeah, yeah, just _pile_ on those huge graphic files. Don’t give us a link and the option to view the picture if we want. Nawwww…just make us wait forever for the damned things to load… We all _love_ waiting for this kind of crap to download.
