I’m guessing it wouldn’t be so bad if BPC had suggested he was mock-quoting someone known to have ignorant view on Jews, i.e. “Jews.” [/melgibson] or “Jews.” [/waltdisney] …but “edgier than bismuth” essentially says “look how naughty I’m being!” and that turns it from mockery of ignorance to mockery of\* us.\* Just a theory. ---

Because that’s what I would characterize as an injustice. Instead he’s been put on notice that he’s one step away from losing his access to a free message board on which he’s already had eight warnings and a suspension in less than three years. He’s already a couple of warnings past the point where banning is inevitable. He’s been fortunate so far in that he’s been allowed to keep hitting the snooze alarm after getting a wakeup call. Excuse me if my ire doesn’t quite match the heat of the Springfield tire fire. ---

Eight warnings and a suspension? I’m surprised he’s still here, truth be told. Melchior (as far as I know) had less than that and he’s gone, and his views (gay marriage is wrong and only being forced through by idiot liberal judicial activists) weren’t exactly unique on this board. ---

You are apparently incapable of comprehending that jerkish offensive uncalled-for actions are not automatically okay just because someone was so stupid as to think that something is a joke just because it is all of those things and that jokes are always okay to say. The stupidity that does not understand that, that does not get that “edgy” is not carte blanche to be a jerk, has nothing to do with age, just whether or not one has brain cells that talk to each other. In any case, again end of day **BPC** is no worse off that he already was: generally the standard, as cited, is that a suspension is the final warning, next stop is being banned. He is still in that same position having gotten yet another warning after suspension and still not banned. So now the suspension was his penultimate warning instead of his final warning … that is the only impact the change to “warning status” has had. If the mods actually ban him for his next offense. Bottom line is they cut him extra slack whatever they called the behavior. And personally, for the nothing it is worth, I approve: I think a _final_ offense should be more than meh. ---
