After waiting for about a year, yesterday I finally got my golden retriever puppy! His name is Brackinridge’s Risk Rewarded (or Rufus for short.) He is still very small, but he has very large paws. He’s going to be a big dog when he grows up! He likes to play with his stuffed squirrel and sleep on the tile floor in the bathroom. I took him to the vet today and he fell asleep during the exam! He’s been a very good puppy. Here’s a picture! [Rufus.](http://www.finux.org/gallery/Uploads/pic0040) ---

\ He ain’t TOO good, you can tell by that little twinkle in his eye . . . he’s a little outlaw, he is! \ What a cutie! Now I wish I had a puppy. (My “baby” is already past two years old!) Does he still have that hot puppy belly and sweet puppy smell and stinky puppy breath? Ooooooh! Puppy kisses! You’re so lucky. ---

That’s the best thing I’ve seen all day. You’re so lucky. Golden retrievers are the best dogs ever. I had a golden/chow mix for thirteen years and he was my best friend. Keep him away from chocolate and [raisins](http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/raisins.asp). I hadn’t heard about grapes/raisins being harmful to dogs and wish I’d known sooner. (Didn’t ever have any incidents, but never thought twice about giving them to him.) ---
