Who told you this? Did they tell it to you in the middle of the night? Has anybody ever explained to you what a “dream” is? If not, maybe you could inquire over in General Questions-I’m sure others what be happy to explain it to you.
I will not ask you for a cite. Pretty sure it would be a waste of time for both of us.
And I apologize in advance for sounding dismissive, but… you can’t be serious.
Oh, so he was a Jewish dentist frat guy?
No. Suicides usually destroy the lives of other people by their actions, and they are prevented from learning what they came into the physical to learn. So it is really a lose/lose situation. Eventually all will learn to connect to the unconditional love.
I’m not entirely certain I know what this means but I’m sure it’s a lovely sentiment.
Wow! Ya got me there! Alpha Omega fraternity! Have your teeth filled by I Am That I Am! In the waiting room, be sure to sign in; just put your name right there in the Book of Life!
re lekatt, I don’t see any real communication happening here. There never can be. We figure he had a minor hallucination. He figures he was Face To Face With GOD.
(How do you know it was God?
Because it was God!
How could you tell?
Because it was God!)
ad nauseam.
Some discussions tend to break down into “revolving door” or “Eliza” non-communication. Not really very interesting!
You will love it, and so will everyone else.
He says he died and came back to life? Certainly doesn’t sound like there’s any reason to believe his claims.
Remember a time in your life when you felt totally loved, totally safe, totally at peace then multiply that feeling a thousand fold. That will give you an idea of what it is like.
No, my dear friend, it doesn’t. The idea of “multiplying it a thousand fold” has exactly no meaning. It is nonsense. It is absurd. It has zero linguistic sense. It says nothing.
Imagine the brightest color red you ever say…and multiply it a thousand fold.
Imagine the sexiest person you ever saw…and multiply that a thousand fold.
(What, like a bust of 35,000 inches?)
I believe that you believe what you’re saying. But it only makes sense to you; to me, you’re just gargling soda-water. I respect what you’re saying. But, ditto.

I have nothing to sell you and I don’t want to change you.

:dubious:
Feelings can be multiplied or intensified. It is alright if you don’t believe.
And it’s alright if you believe nonsense. As long as you don’t try to impose anything through the voting booth I’m fine with the useless information you endlessly put forth in these threads. It’s hard to take you serious with some of the stuff you espouse but for the most part you seem harmless.
That should be: “In the waiting room, be sure to sign in, but ignore my mother, she’s a bit meshugganah; just agree with her, no matter what she says (after all, I did become a dentist, like she insisted, so that’s OK), then put your name right there in the Book of Modern Dentistry! Or as we like to say, the ‘Book of Life’, or the ‘sign-in book’, one of those, I can never remember which… :smack: Oy Vey!”
I think you missed the whooshing sound of a high speed hebrew dental fraternal aircraft passing above your head, there…
Beliefs can be harmful and they can be helpful, but in the grand scheme of life they don’t matter much. Good events and bad events happen, it is how we handle them that matters most.
I love it! But… What? I got whooshed? What did I miss?
Not unless it is known or can be proven to all people, Like a round earth!
Knowledge can be proven but you choose to believe it so, that is your right, but one’s mind can play tricks on them, and desire is a strong feeling. To you it may seem knowledge and if that makes your life and others you meet better, then You can surely believe all you want to, Just as Muhammad believed an angel sent from God dictated a Book to him. Truth cannot be contradictory!
Sorry, I guess you didn’t. Your reply initially struck me as a bit upset, like you thought I was making fun of you, but on rereading, it’s my impression that was mistaken.
The experience I had came unannounced without any expectations. It is an experience shared by 10 to 12 million Americans who also had no expectations. Then dozens of scientists began to study and research the experiences finding them to be authentic examples of consciousness living after the death of the brain and body. Yes, there is solid proof of this, so much proof that scientists no longer berate the experience on the Internet. Anyone that wants to find the truth of the experience can do so by reading the research. I realize there will be those who will never believe the research and I am OK with that.
The individuals who have the experience include neuro scientists, as well as people from every race and religion, no religion and atheists. There is no danger involved in reading the research and no danger in the afterlife. There is nothing to lose and everything to gain. But it is a matter of choice. I cannot imagine a real scientist that is afraid of new ideas and research.
