evidence for god? some one said so.

I didn’t define ignorance at all. Since you bring it up though. What is your understanding of human bias?

Well I certainly enjoyed the article entitled “The Oppressive Slave Owner, Master Bates”, so thanks for opening my eyes to this gem:

“In like manner, women are often not aware of physiological factors, much less the psychological factors, in male sexuality. Medical authorities explain that a male builds up a full supply of semen every 48-72 hours (every 2 to 3 days), and this “testosterone flood” can create a hydraulic pressure creating sexual tension and discomfort, begging for the release of ejaculation.”

If you read on, you’ll find that the author explains that wives unknowledgeable of this phenomenon or unwilling to relieve her man should lube up and relieve his hydraulic pressure. At least he recommends some over the counter lubricants by name, which is generous of him.

Then in conclusion, he claims to paraphrase Paul with “whether you masturbate or do not masturbate, do all to the glory of God.” If you must masturbate and your wife won’t give you a hand, do it in church? Have I got this right?

Hey, I like it. If Christianity is not a religion, we can tax the hell out of churches. And not paying for birth control due to freedom of religion - right out the door.

And saying that is implicitly admitting just how worthless it is. It’ll only “convince” people who already believe.

Typical Christian obnoxious fake-niceness.

Up here in Seattle we call that being nICE, its really amazing how cold you can be with politeness.

In which case it suffers from the logical fallacy of “false dichotomy”, and thus, again, is trivially disposed of.

nICE; I like that.

But just remember that Humans decided what was God’s word, and what was not! Our belief then is in humans …not God.

God created humans with His unconditional love. He put that love within all of His creations. Within every human is God’s word – Love. If it isn’t love it isn’t God. God’s love is the most powerful thing in existence. With love life is beautiful and without it not so much. Love is in everything and everyone, it is the connecting force of the universe. We are all One in God’s love. In the physical we seek love, in the spirit world we are love. Yes God is real, He exists and He loves unconditionally all of His creation at all time.

More contentless yapping. How about getting back on topic and giving us some evidence for the existence of your god?

Then what’s gravity for?

lekatt, you’re hijacking the thread. Stop. You’ve also been moderated before about the condescending comments about other posters (seen in some other posts in this thread). This is about evidence, and it’s not intended to be yet another platform for your pronouncements about god. Other posters are instructed to stop responding to this hijack and to avoid insults.

I apologize if my comment was seen as a comment about lekatt-it was intended to be a criticism about the content of his post only.

I have been expecting this, I will quit. The evidence of God is Love. Bye

Soooo, not gravity?..

This of course is your belief, not fact, that is your right, but as I stated many times there is PROOF that there was nothing ever written, thought, said ,or thought that wasn’t from a human being!

This statement does not make sense. Besides making a claim YOU and those reading this today can not prove or try out, the one about recreating human society on an another planet, you slam your opinion without evidence.

To the point: all kids ask the famous why this/why that and who this and that questions. Babies are born tabula rasa that means clean slate, unprogrammed processors… So WHY do they always ask these logical questions all over the world?

When both children and adults see a house, skyscraper, car or boat one of the basic questions we all ask is “who made it”?

I have never met, seen or heard of any intelligent man, woman or child that i could make believe any object such as houses, cars, bikes, boats or shoes just “happened”.

If we are just animals then why do we start asking all these questions as soon as we can talk? Animals don’t ask questions. They eat, copulate, sleep and urinate. If it’s all just coincidence and natural that we are alive and on this planet why do kids keep asking a million questions all over the world.
Atheism is a religion. Atheists believe there is nothing. You are sure there is nothing.
Have fun, and stop worrying or debating. As there is nothing you should not waste time on foolish believers but pump this one life you have for all the fun you can squeeze out of it.

You better get from behind your computer. Go out and have fun, go get rich, get famous, win awards, set records, build things, advance science and do whatever you want before you die.

Those that believe there is nothing, often hurry to experience everything.
I believe there is everything, so i worry about nothing.

God gives inner peace, even in this troubled world.

Rain just happens. Snow just happens. Tornadoes and floods just happen. Mankind didn’t just happen - we evolved. Like all other kinds of life since the first replicating molecule.

I’m realistic enough to think primitive beings everywhere would come up with gods. People make fire - really big people make really big fires - like suns. I’d hope that most intelligent life would get over such myths faster than we are.

And atheism is not a religion, not having any shared beliefs or ethics. It is simply the lack of belief in any god. I’m so sorry that you appear to need a crutch to get through life.

What makes you think atheists are in any way behind in these endeavors?

And it is obviously false to claim that “atheists believe in nothing.” I believe in mountains, seas, the stars, trees, electricity, the nucleus of the atom, and in the overall harm done to society by organized religion. To me, all of these follow rigorously from the evidence.

(And, yes, organized anti-theology – the state atheism of the Stalinists – is also odious and has done huge harm. The only lesson to learn is – leave everybody alone. Do not compel worship, nor forbid it. So long as the theists aren’t making laws to force me to obey their rules, I don’t give a damn if they worship one god, three gods, or a pantheon of thousands. The Separation of Church and State is one of the best ideas humanity has ever devised.)

Whoa there… I never said i think atheists are behind in these endeavours. They often are ahead in them. That’s my point. Further more i have no problem with atheists i believe they should do what they want. You can’t force someone to believe something. That would not be believing now would it? Let everyone decide for themselves.
