I would have posted this in the ATMB thread, but it was locked immediately. I don’t know the guy and I only have the vaguest idea what Tuba is talking about re his perpetual hijacking, but out of curiosity, I paged through his dozen or so most recent threads and can’t find any where a mod gave him a warning, or where he hijacked a post, or whatever. If I did that just because I’m bored and have nothing better to do, you can guess that a crapload of other people did it too, so would it have killed the mods to have posted an explanatory link or two in the ATMB post, to forestall the inevitable searches? Less frustrating for us and easier on the hamsters. That’s all. ---

I think it’s because he talks a little too much about his sexual practices. ---

I’m not privy to the actual discussions surrounding this, but you must have noticed that in _every single thread_ he joined, he tried to turn the discussion to sex. Look at the [Why do liberals attack Christians?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=362557) thread for a particularly egregious example. ---

Before this thread goes much further, I just want to clarify that I am not protesting his suspension, just the decision not to provide any links in the ATMB thread about his suspension. **Tevildo** , I see what you mean in that thread, but in the first page of search results of Evil Captor’s most recent posts, most of them seem totally innocuous. ---

Some links would have been nice. I don’t see anything particularly upsetting in the one **Tevildo** provided. A joke about sex in a thread about religious fundamentalism hardly seems like a reason to call down the fury of the mods. ---

I’m still not sure why anybody cares, and even if they are so bugged about his postings, why don’t they simply put him on their ignore list. What else is that feature for? ---

Not just with **EC** , but with any of the alleged “one-trick ponies” here on the dope. Some people just live to feel outrage I guess. I see it more as a quip; whether one finds it witty or not is another matter. At any rate, it seems **Evil Captor** has been a bug up various posters’ butts for quite awhile now. This is fairly well covered territory; I have to admit that I just don’t see what all the fuss is about. ---

I don’t even recall where he got \*officially \* warned. I remember a lot of posters yelling at him, and I followed the whole brouhaha but perhaps I missed the actual mod smackdown. If anyone has a link, I’d sure appreciate it. ---

It’s been established that his hijacks took place in a minority of his postings. The problem is that he did it repeatedly, not that he did it most of the time. Sorry to keep jumping into this thread, but this is simply, utterly, false. The mods are completely in the wrong here. They were also wrong when they warned him. Hopefully they’ll reverse their descision. ---
