I’ve seen this misspelling of Gandhi a few times, and it bothers me. I don’t understand why you’d like to think of yourself as an evil Gandhi, but if you’re going to use his name, at least you could spell it correctly. Unless you have some deliberate reason for it that escapes me. ---

Aww Dave, so nice of you to notice. Ya see after over 4 years on this board you are the fucking first person to notice my intentional mispelling of the Late MAHATMA GANDHI’s moniker. You see, I am the EVIL Ghandi, like the goatee clad evil Spock, I am his opposite. My mindset is right wing reactionary, passive resistance is for pussies who think sitting still for their ass whooping is some sort of noble gesture. I actually misspelled the name first when I used it as a handle on irc almost a decade ago. The reason I gave then was “it was out of respect for such a great man that I would not dream to use his actual name in any sort of description of myself”. Either that or I was hosed out of my braincells on malt liquor at the time and didn’t notice the fuck up. Either way people knew me by it so I stuck with it. So, oh Dave that claims to be great, is that explanation enough for you? The one thing that truly perplexes me, I have made many pit-able remarks, yet this is the first time anyone has actually bothered to drag me down here. ---

Actually Airman, I’ve been asked a couple of times, both here and on irc. My explanation has pretty much remained the same, though sometimes I substitute “horse tranqs and Jack Daniels” for “malt liquor”. At any rate, I doubt that anyone really cares, including the op. ---

It’s just a little pet peeve of mine, and I just happened to be provoked by seeing **EvilGhandi** post in a thread. The explanation is enough. **calm kiwi** puts it well.
