Example "Dangerous Trees" Certified Letter - Need Answer Fast!

OR for the few dollars it costs to send a certified letter, you could just do it anyways. It’s my understanding that sending pictures in the mail (even just to yourself) and not opening the envelope is a pretty common way to prove when they’re taken.

But you go ahead and just raise your eyebrow at the judge and see how that works out for you. I’d rather just have actual proof, even if it is overkill.

The OP already has BAD neighbors who have ignored his past requests to take care of their dead trees and refuse to communicate with him about the problem. And, as he mentioned, a dead tree being held up only by another tree’s branch could give way at any time, possibly when his kid is playing out back. So while not as expensive as a vehicle or roof, the OP would still be out at least his insurance deductible, maybe more, if the tree comes down and he’s stuck with a busted fence and swing set and covering the cost of cleanup.
