Ah, yes. That is my recollection, as well. Coverage of the funeral was everywhere. I did know that Mother Teresa had died, but that news was almost obliterated by Di’s funeral coverage.
I have vague memories of the Ansett story being at the very bottom of the front page of the newspaper underneath all the 9/11 coverage - even though I was pretty young at the time I still remember seeing mentions of it amongst the bigger news and thinking that it would have been headline news on any other day.
