# Excel charting question (formatting legend)

I googled this but didn’t find anything.

Let’s say I have an X-Y scatter plot with multiple data series. The legend in the chart will show the **line** for each data series, along with the **series name**.

I can change the font color of all series names (in the legend) to black, blue or whatever. But what if I want to change the font color of just one series name? Say I want the text of one series name to be blue, and the text of another series name to be red. Is that possible?

First click once on the legend. Then click another time on the specific entry (50kw). Then go to the home tab and click the text color button to set it to whatever you want. Like this:
