# Excel Hyperlink Closes Excel?  Why?

I have an Excel spreadsheet listing names of documents. Each entry is actually a hyperlink to that document. The links launch Excel or Adobe just fine. But, there is only one link to Word document. And, that one link will launch Word **and** close my Excel spreadsheet at the same time!

Why is this? It must be some setting somewhere because on a different PC, it works just fine! Oh, and I should add: I tried holding down the shift key before clicking on the link thinking this might be a solution, but no such luck.

Anyone else experience something similar to this? Any WAGs?
