# "Excuse me while I whip this out--you're FIRED!"

Or more specifically, discrimination by a minority in an attempt to exact “revenge” upon the majority group.

Actually, it more frequently seems to be used to describe any act of discrimination by a member of a minority or oppressed group. The use of the term “reverse” tends to suggest that it is a somehow different type of discrimination, and seems often to imply that the default perpetrator of discrimination is some archetypal straight, white, rich guy.

It certainly seems to have entered popular usage, and i don’t expect to stop it. I just think it’s a bit silly, and tends to obfuscate rather than illuminate the issue it is attempting to describe. YMMV.

OK anyone else read the OP title as meaning **Gobear** whipped something his penis out, and got fired for doing so.

No, I knew pretty much instantly that whatever it was, it was about a black sheriff. But then, I’ve seen Blazing Saddles a dozen times.
