You walk a mile a day in subzero temperatures?? You’re a badass.
All the time! Sometimes further if it’s above 10 below. We Minnesotans are tough!

Exercise equipment: A pull up bar is cheap and it will be neither long nor boring. There is much to be said for strength training, even if you won’t aim to get large muscles. If you’ve only been doing walks and runs up until now, consider push-ups and other forms of resistance training. Bodyweight-based resistance training has the advantage of being completely free. It will be quite a departure from walking but after a few weeks, you might be surprised by the improvement in energy, mood and focus.
High-intensity interval training should also avoid boredom.
Buying equipment will not increase your motivation.
For all those recommending jumprope - how high are your ceilings, and what are your floor coverings? I used to box and did a BUNCH of rope - IMO only feasible in a gym or outside.
What about getting a baby jogger that can handle your dogs? Or there may be a jogger which is specifically built for carrying dogs. I know they have carriers you trail behind your bike, and I’ve seen dogs in those. They may have some which are more built to be pushed. That could be a way to get out with your dogs (and get a great workout) even if they couldn’t go the whole way. I also know they have dog carrier backpacks, but I think those are meant for small dogs.
I admit that I use mine outside as my current workout area is my very low ceilinged basement but really jumping rope does not require more than a foot higher than your head, if that.
