This is just to say I’m departing for awhile and won’t be back for awhile, if ever. I leave in 2 days to spend a month and a half travelling in Thailand/Cambodia/Laos. After that I’m moving back to the states, and probably won’t have time for the SDMB. I’m just posting this so nobody thinks I walked off in a huff or anything. This is a cool board, easily the most intelligent one I’ve seen. Thanks for the fun, and best fishes to all. ---

Furt! Have you read The Beach by Alex Garland? I only ask because it’s about a guy who takes a trip similar to the one you’re about to embark upon. Great, great book - and about to be a movie starring Leonardo DiCapsizio! I’m still debating whether I want to see the movie. Hi Furt! I never got the chance to exchange any allegedly witty banter with you, but let me just say that your presence will be more than missed. I saw you on a few threads and I hope that you find a way to post once you get back to the US. Enjoy yourself, your travels, and the beauty you find.
