Fox ran a special on their network a couple decades ago. Apparently it was filmed in a theater during one of those midnight showings complete with stage production. It was … interesting.

The stage Rocky had a physique much better suited for Eddie.

> It’s a genuinely good movie. I guess it’s a good thing that a bunch of socially-awkward nerds latched onto it as an excuse to go out in public in costume and be extroverted for an evening because that resulted in wider distribution of the film, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not better watched on a decent home theater system without a bunch of people trying as hard as they can to remember thirty year old cues.

> No. _Shock Treatment_ is trash.

After a couple hundred times, I don’t have any trouble remembering 30 year old lines that I haven’t participated in for 25 years. If I wasn’t stuck with a wheelchair, I could even still do the moves - and have coached people in doing the moves and costume making for years.

And true the _movie_ Shock Treatment sucks, the music is better.

I was referring to the movie. The music wasn’t bad, as I recall, but I’ve only seen it once. Maybe I ought to give it another try. I was still drinking when I saw it, so my memory may be suspect.

Didn’t they try a live-audience TV showing of the movie once? They showed the movie and a selected audience in a studio? I remember seeing it once, and it seemed to fall flat. Everyone seemed too self-conscious. And even too cute. Just a little _too_ choreographed.
