Yes and to get paid for that time it was likely necessary for him to note something other then ‘consulted patient on steelers game’. If he did he probably wouldn’t be paid for the time. The whole point of the end of life counseling clause as was it is legitimate and reasonable time for doctors to spend with their patients. It should be guaranteed they get paid for it. They shouldn’t have to deceive anyone for that to happen. Any policy that encourages doctors to deceive people is a bad one. ---
