So…that’s what’s wrong with me!!! I’ve read practically every one of those books! And no one made me, I checked them out of the library on purpose.
Seriously, I was floored to see A Wrinkle in Time on that list. I loved that book!! It was a beautiful and moving book for a young person. Some of those books would be a bit much for younger readers, but for anyone of normal intelligence and mature outlook a great deal can be gained by reading these books.
I saw practically every signifigant religions book mentioned there except the Christian bible, The Book of Mormon/Pearl of Great Price, and the Bahagavad Ghita. Wonder how they missed them? Of course the torah is the Pentatuch, the first 5 books of the Christian bible, Genesis, Exodous, Leviticus, Numbers and (my favorite because of all the practical advice) Dueteronomy, so a case could be made that the basis of the Christian Bible made the list.
