# Explain thread closure

I’m rather confused - when I followed the link in the OP I expected the thread to have been closed with no explanation. One was given which made sense.

Um, **lissener** , it’s because **manhattan** doesn’t like you. That has to be the only reason.  
Oddly enough, you knew to ask a simple question about thread closure, sans rant, here in the BBQ Pit as opposed to General Questions, so it isn’t as if you are unfamiliar with the rules.  
Bizarre.

Well I’m gonna disagree with you all and agree with lissener. It was a rant but not a particularly pittish one, and there’re been others on other forums (Café Society, for instance), that weren’t closed. And you asked a question at the end. Hell, it was quite a dull question, so I applaud you for polishing it up a little. In my mind, there’s no good reason why your thread was closed.
