# Explain US Taxation

No argument there.

Frankly, though, I don’t understand why conservatives have such a problem with the estate tax. They’re always complaining about how it hurts small businesses, but in truth most small businesses are worth far less than the estate tax offset amount anyway.

Yes,and the “closing of the family farm”:rolleyes: but they were not able to show a family farm that had any significant Estate taxes owed- significant to the point where selling the farm was the best option.
