\*[look up saved text document from the last four times this was asked on the board … copy … paste] \* I work at a small-market radio station. We get dozens of CDs a week from aspiring rock’n’rollers who want to make the big time, so they go out and make a “demo” CD and then ship copies all over the world, hoping somebody, somewhere will put it on the air and make them famous. Shortly after I joined, we got one such CD from an artist who’s name I no longer remember. The name of the album was “Sunrazor” and it was the most godawful thing you’ve ever heard. There was no rhythm, the “singer” couldn’t sing, the playing was just awful – seriously, it sounded like a parody of a really bad pre-teen garage band. Our morning man played a cut or two on the air as a joke, and the listener response was hilarious. As part of the gag, I pretended to like the music and kept asking him on the air to play it. Our news/sports guy started calling me Sunrazor and the nickname stuck (for about a year, when I had an Ozzie Osbourne moment and the morning jock started calling me the Prince of Dorkness.) I kind of liked the name, so I started using it on The Dope. ---

Mine’s pretty simple too, nothing really poetic or cool about it really. “Maui” for where I live. “Lion” because, like **Silver Tyger Girl** , I have an anthropomorphic big cat persona as well. Yeah, not much else to say there. Maybe someday I’ll change my username to something more impressive. ---

I originally used my real name on the old AOL forum and brought it over here. I later decided to change it to something more anonymous. But I didn’t really have any ideas on a name to use instead. At the time, I happened to be reading a book of Winsor McCay comic strips and I thought “why not?” However, WhyNot was already in use so I took Little Nemo instead. ---

I love this story, but I have never had the opportunity to tell it. Queen Nzinga of Southeastern Africa was fighting off the Portuguese(early 1600s). They extended an invitation for negotions. Legend has it…(from the [Encyclopedia of World Biography](http://www.bookrags.com/biography/anna-nzinga/)) _“The story is that only one chair was available at the conference—the governor’s chair—a ploy to make Nzinga stand and therefore seem inferior. Nevertheless, Nzinga signaled to one of her maids who fell on her hands and knees to provide a seat for Nzinga. Now facing the governor on his level, Nzinga was able to talk as equals. Treaty negotiations were successful; Nzinga convinced the Portuguese to recognize Ndongo as an independent monarchy”_ I love this story. The Portuguese governor was\* insecure! \* He needed ploys and tricks to feel even her equal, much less her superior. She _knew_ she was not inferior, and she did not back down. Was the story true? Maybe not. But every time someone tries to cut me down, I remember the story and I take my place on my throne. ---

My name is Japanese for the action of smiling…kind of like how “doki doki” is the sound of a beating heart and “butsu butsu” is mumbling (reminds me of South Park’s “rabble rabble!”). I forget the technical name for these types of words. Anywho, there’s a gazillion of them in Japanese. This one stuck out because it was the first one I memorized. It was the name of these tasty little fruit jellos that looked a lot like jello shots. I used to buy them a often for my friends and I when the nearest Japanese store sold them. ---

I was chasing a guy through AOL chatrooms back in '99. His name was Kurupshun and he had been sending my 13 year old daughter not very nice pictures and I decided to take the law into my own hands. I caught up with him in one of the sex related rooms and confronted him in a very loud manner. He tried to blow me off by being a smart ass which only pissed me off more, so I told everyone in the room what he had done. I remember one of the members writing: suddenly the room goes quiet. At that point, Kurupshun logs off and I’m sitting there still as mad as hell. And, even in that state I realized I was going to have to change my user name if I was going to follow him undetected and suddenly it just popped into my head without even thinking about it: I’m gonna get you, which, I shortened down to gnagtcha and, eventually, everything was resolved. Which brings me to my original user name Whewdee. That’s the one I really should have used here, if I’d been thinking. That one comes from one of my favorite Bill Murray movies Meatballs. It’s about a kid named Rudy Gurtner going to a summer camp and bonding with counselor Murray and ending up running the marathon race that bests the snobby camp across the lake. Just before the race: Murray: ok, if you’re gonna win this race you gotta run like a rabbit. What’s your name? Gurtner: Rudy Murray: No, you’re Whewdee, Whewdee the wabbit And just as the kid takes off running Murray yells " wun, you wascally wabbit, wun. Damn! Is it really that difficult to change your user name here. And, by the way, this is my first post on this board. Hope I haven’t been to chatty ---
