Mine stems from my hotmail address. My name is pretty common so tons of variations of my name were taken. I tried many other things that I like but alas, many other people seem to be into Star Trek or Jimmy Buffet enough so that the email address for MrSpock or CheeseburgerNParadise were also taken. So I started with animals. By the time I got to zebra I was pretty flabergasted. Zebra was taken would I like to be Zebra673? NO! zebrazebra? zebrazebra is taken would you like to be zebraebra97? zebrazebra123! Congratulations zebrazebra123 welcome to hotmail. So now I’m zebra. When I found out tha UK people say the word as if it rhymes with Debra, I was a little taken aback. ---

Anu-la is what my parents used to call me when I was a baby. It’s pretty stupid because I stuck my real (well, real nickname) name in there, which I rarely do on the internet. Generally I go by monkeywearingchaps or monkey online. ---

I have a tattoo of a Leafy Sea Dragon on my left upper arm. All but location probably pretty obvious. Wanted to use something gender ambiguous. I am female. Writing. Like. A robot. ---

I have a vaguely clever LJ name that was from an old CompuServe acct, but I didn’t want to use that here. Instead, I thought I’d highlight my break from my Catholic (not catholic) upbringing. I’ve always wondered if I could actually get someone to excommunicate me. I think I’d enjoy the ceremony. Anyway, when I feel like figuring out a way to define myself by something I am instead of something I’m not, I’ll probably change it. Plus it’s long (although oddly, not long enough; I needed one more character to put breaks between the 3 segments).
