My brother ran this a year ago. I don’t know if he was in again this year. ETA: but he’d probably have finished before the explosions anyway, unless the marathon is so big that it takes middle of the packers a half an hour to cross the start line. ---

Reports are that the fire at the JFK Library were caused by an electrical problem, and not by an explosion. Weird coincidence, if so. ---

There are three starting waves; wave 1 leaves at 10:00, wave 2 at 10:20, and wave 3 at 10:40. The faster runners start first, the slowest runners are the last wave. ---
