Was this guy stupid enough to buy the pressure cookers or maybe the black bags just before the bombing? Sure hope so. Heh. I’m glad the Post continues to follow this story closely. According to them the bomber killed 12 people! But no, identifying a suspect isn’t the same as having him in custody. ---

Local TV is saying an arrest is imminent with one saying it may have already taken place. Yes, everybody seems to be reporting an arrest now. And just because I didn’t see the name posted- the third person killed in the bombing was Lu Lingzi. She was a Chinese citizen and was studying statistics at BU. ---

It certainly seems fast, but I’m guessing they saw that video within hours back on Monday but didn’t publicize it until now. ---

I read that they Identified the guy from at least two video sources…one from Lord and Taylor and another from local TV footage. The local Fox affiliate has been playing a video they provided the FBI that they shot of the crowd (their camera guy was just walking along shooting people in the crowd) with Lord and Taylor across the street. Not sure how long before the bombs went off it was shot…but it looks like that footage was taken right where the bomb went off. ---

CBS said video showed a man set a black backpack on the ground in the area of the 2nd explosion while using a cell phone. Then when the first bomb went off he stopped using the cell phone and walked away. The FBI checked cell phone records for that time frame and area and probably tracked him down that way. ---
