they are now reporting a number of unexploded devices (and at least one pressure cooker) in residential areas in Watertown ---

No confirmation, but someone on another forum claimed there’s a report that the dead suspect had a bomb vest. If so, that would explain why they stripped the other guy naked, which puzzled me. EDIT: Overheard on a police scanner apparently. ---

The reporters keep saying things like “the gentleman in the white cap”, “the gentleman in the black cap”. Why keep calling them “gentleman/gentlemen”? Just “men/man” would be sufficient for them. They have already proven themselves not to be “gentlemen”. ---

Reports say these are foriegn terrorists. Two men known to me involved in foreign military. Bomb vest was reported worn on one suspect. ---

Holy shit. I used to live in Watertown, off Boylston Street. Dexter, Adams, and Laurel Streets are seconds away from my old house. It’s a really nice, quiet neighborhood tucked between Mt. Auburn on the north, Arsenal to the south, and School Street to the west. I was watching the NBC newsfeed horrified to see the events unfolding. ---

Having lived through the LA Riots I can feel for the people locked in theirhomes; I can understand your fear. This is one of the few times when ots obviously far better to be armed than unarmed. FTR,I dont own a gun but I wish I had during the riots. Ive never felt so helpless in my life. ---
