…I’m sure by the end of the night we will either be dealing with ETA or the IRA. I think the strangest thing is that my mental picture of the grainy. blown up images of the suspects wearing the caps has changed every time the details changed. So for a while I was imagining Indian Marxist’s, now I’m imagining Chechnyan rebels. Bizarre. Anyway: grain of salt here guys, and its quite likely I’m linking to another innocent person, but the image hosting website I use Photoshelter just announced that one of their photographers has an image of the suspects. Killing the MIT police officer only makes sense if he was somehow in their way for the robbery or carjacking, otherwise it just brings massive attention to the area they are in. It could be they just started a mini-crime spree to bring attention down on themselves so they could go out in a fire fight or something, too. ---

Here’s a Slate “article” that quotes the piece that picture is probably from.
