Nope, I’ve gone to several different places, and gone along with friends who cannot hear the noise at all even as it’s driving me crazy – I admit it’s a very tiny noise, I seem to be hypersensitive to it.
That’s what I was thinking, but fortunately for me, the internets know everything. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK-QzPLgUTo
I’m having electrolysis done on my face, and my eyebrows are about 95% done. I’ve had them waxed and threaded, and I’d say that electrolysis is less painful than those methods, and only a tiny bit more painful than plucking. And electrolysis is PERMANENT. The woman who does this work and I had a discussion about how I wanted my brows to look after she’s done, and even after my first session, my face looked a lot better. I’m also much happier about how much less dark hair is on my upper lip and sideburn area. Apparently just about all women get some extra hair there when they get older.
Electrolysis is pretty affordable, too, when you consider that it lasts a lifetime.
I tweeze, but I do minor cleanup rather than major reshaping. Never tried either option in the poll.
None - after a bout of dermatitis a couple years ago my eyebrows fell out and never grew back. I’ve developed severe eyebrow envy, but I’ll get over it eventually. I used to do just a bit of shaping with tweezers.
Put me down in the “draw on with a magic marker” column.
Mrs. Cake, I have the opposite problem. I have eyebrow a rexia. Every time I look at them no matter how scanty they are I wish they weren’t there. I did pluck them all on and drew them on with a pencil and it didn’t look bad, and it did look horrid when they weren’t drawn on. But I think my body hair hatred extends to the point where I just hate ANY hair that’s not lashes or head hair.
