Hope wins out over fear! This makes me very happy. I am also happy that I finally live in a blue county in a blue state! Way to go Florida!\* \*But we need to have a little talk about how you can elect a black president and then pass an amendment that takes away the rights of other people. I am so happy I can barely stand it! Happy, and proud to be an American. I thought McCain’s speech was wonderful. It shows that there is someone respectable there, when he isn’t listening to the handlers. Obama’s speech was incredible. That one will be remembered for a long, long time. And his daughters are just adorable! I loved the shots of Jesse Jackson, tears streaming down his face. I can only imagine what it was like for him to see this happen. Thank you, world! We’re happy to be back. ---

I watched CNN call it for Obama all the way over here in Australia and I have to admit… I cried just a little during Obama’s speech. Thank you for that, people of the U.S.A. I congratulate you on your decision. I feel like partying but I’m home alone for another three hours. ---
