_Sigh_ In the continued existence of my marriage STILL not being finalized… Just saw on facebook my former best friend post, “Getting ready to go on my first first date in forever… so excited!” I know through the grapevine that this date is with my ex husband. Yesterday was the earliest day my final decree could have come… nothing in the mail. Oh, well. Should be here any day. I’m having terribly complicated feelings about them being out on a date. On the one hand, if they can find happiness with each other, I really and truly want that for them (I, and everyone who’s not them, have doubts). But… Wow, there is a very angry part of my soul that is fighting to be heard right now. Just an unrelenting fire of bitter that is just fighting to win the war for my emotions today. It sucks. It just sucks. ---

You might want to “unfriend” this former best friend, if only because it won’t do you any good to hear about her dating your ex. ---

And it’s done. Got the finalization in the mail. Also, finally, FINALLY got a lead on a job in my hometown. Ready to move back to people who care about me, leave my ex behind me, and move on with my life. I’m ready to start a new chapter in my life, just need life to catch up to me being ready. ---

And interesting info about changing your name. It’s something I’ve thought about doing myself and didn’t realize how tricky it is. ---

Seriously, just walk into the social security office and say, “Hi, I’d like to get a name change for my card, please, here’s my court order” I think I was there less than 10 minutes. Getting the right paperwork, however, can be a little tricky 🙂 ---

I wish I lived wherever your Social Security office is. It takes 10 minutes just to get a number at mine. ---

The one upside to living in a smaller town. 🙂 I’m happy to be moving back to a big city, but I will miss that aspect of living in a smaller town.
