On Speed they said the forecast is Rain for qualifying, Sunny for the race. Given how important qualifying position is when it’s so hard to pass and the Park Fermé rules, the unpredictability of this season should continue. ---

OK, predictions. I predict… There will be many large yachts in the harbor. Many of the people in the yachts will be more interested in being at a F1 race than watching the F1 race. The HRT team will…score 0 points. The Williams team will be reminded that there is no smoking in the garage area. At some point during the race, Massa will be told that the Caterhams he’s near are for position. Kobiashi will hit someone. We will get at least one graphic indicating that the stewards are investigating an incident involving Hamilton. ---

“Webber wins thrilling Monaco GP” According to the BBC. I must have been watching a different race. It had the potential to be thrilling but you never expected anyone to overtake outside of the pit stops. The top 6 cars were just 6 seconds apart near the end and I was still bored to tears. ---

It might not have been the most exciting race, but the onboard cameras showed how precise the driving needed to be and in the end I was kind of impressed by the top 6 doing so consistently, while any mistake would mean the loss of a few places (especially when they were so close they needed to take different lines through Fairmont Hairpin). Overtaking has become impossible though, I think they said you need about a 3 sec per lap time differential before a successful passing move becomes likely…anddrs doesn’t really work either.
