I have a newish iPad. It has a t-mobile account and I can use it anywhere I can get service. Every app and website can find my location perfectly except Facebook. I live in Medina, Ohio, about 25 miles south of Cleveland and 20 miles west of Akron. Facebook usually thinks I’m in Detroit and sometimes thinks I’m in Chicago. Location services are turned on but tracking is turned off. The only help I get from apple is they say I get better location if I connect to WiFi. Two problems, first, google maps and other programs, can pinpoint my location to a couple of feet. Second, half the time I am connected to WiFi. Is there a way to fix this or am I doomed to keep getting suggested posts about the Tigers, Lions, and (ugh) Wolverines? ---

Do you have “Precise Location” selected for Facebook in Settings / Privacy / Location Services? ---

When I’m on my phone or desktop, it’s suggested posts are for Cleveland area stuff. When I’m on the iPad it’s for Detroit, usually, or sometimes Chicago. I’m not directly checking, I’m inferring ---

On Facebook, go to “check in”, see the list of locations that come up. That should give you an idea of where it thinks you are. ---

It pulls up stuff near me when I check in but my suggested posts are for the Detroit Lions and a Detroit station giving an alert on a car crash. I’m just going to assume Facebook is being stupid.
