# Facebook friending question.... (husband issue)

It’s petty and intrusive and oppressive. Every individual should be free to have friendships with other individuals without someone else monitoring or vetoing.

If you don’t trust him to avoid infidelity, then you’re not going to solve that problem by policing him.

Another vote for “insecure and petty”.

There’s nothing wrong with sexual exclusivity but there’s something quite sad and pathetic about worrying all the damn time that your partner might have sexual interest in someone who isn’t you. And what **Ascenray** just said, it’s not something you can police. All you can do is put a wedge between you and your partner by making implications. If you love someone, accept the risks, because there are no insurance policies, and invest yourself in it and trust the person.
