# Facebook problem

All of a sudden when I go on my friends FB page all I see are posts from 3 years ago. He puts new stuff on almost daily. Up until 3 days ago I could see all his new stuff.
This is on his home page, not my newsfeed.
Any clue on what happened?

No.
When I go on their page the most recent item is from 2019 and it goes back from there all the way back to 2014.
It’s as if he stopped posting in 2019. But I know he has a zillion posts since then and I could see them up until 3 days ago.
This isn’t happening with my other friends pages.

Are you viewing Facebook via an app? If so, try shutting the app down and reopening.

On my Ipad I am but the same thing happened when I used a PC and signed in from Google Chrome.

Yes. And he I.M. Me that he hasn’t been hacked or anything. And another friend went on his page and can see everything recent.
I’m thinking it has to be something on my end. Even if I wasn’t in good standing is it even possible to block someone from the past 3 years of posts but not everything overnight?

It could happen if the friend changed his privacy settings 3 years ago from “public” or “friends of friends” to “friends only”. You’d be able to see the old public stuff even if you were somehow (maybe accidentally) unfriended or otherwise blocked, but not anything under stricter privacy settings.

My friends posts have always been friends only, including me.
The problem has to be on my end.

Up until last week I could see all his posts from 2022 going back to 2014 when they joined FB. Now all I can see are his posts from October 2019 and prior. If I go on the filters function and choose 2022, 2021, or 2020 I get nothing.
