I have the Facebook app for both my Android tablet and my iPhone. Despite the fact that I went on both and unchecked everything I could find regarding notifications I keep getting notifications every single time anyone posts something. My phone and tablet never stop buzzing. It is driving me crazy. How do I stop it? ---

Bump. Nobody knows how to stop this? The damn cell phone and tablet buzzed 6 times in the last half hour.leave me Ashli Facebook. ---

Did you go into the app, or did you go into your phone’s settings to change the notifications? The settings for mine on my iPhone are in the phone’s settings. ---

The Facebooks apps are terrible. That is why. I wold suggest completely uninstalling the apps on both devices, and then reinstalling and trying again. It’s entirely possible you never get it to work right. And by contrast, the Facebook app on my phone (Android) is almost the opposite…I almost never get push notifications for the things I want them for. ---

For the iPhone, the settings are controlled in Settings - Notifications - FaceBook. It really isn’t difficult to turn them off entirely, might take you all of 10 seconds of your day. Notification Center = Off Alert Style = None Badge App Icon = Off Sounds = Off View in Lock Screen = Off ---
