# Facebook - question about "locations"

It seems every time I post a new status now, there’s a line below that says something like “posted 3 minutes ago near xxx.” The problem is, I’d either like my current town to show, or nothing at all.

Does anyone have any idea how to adjust the locations settings in Facebook?

If you’re posting from your phone, it’s my understanding that the Facebook app uses the phone’s GPS to determine your location.

Yup. And in that case, you can disable that in Location Services on the iPhone; not sure where on the Android. That will remove any reference to location when posting from that point on.
