Coming here as a last resort as a very frustrated spouse is making me frustrated. And finding any useful help from Facebook seems impossible since any attempt to search on notifications goes to talking about push notifications. Any wise people have ideas on this: iPhone 6, iOS 10.3.2. The app icon badge is working to notify her that she has whatever notifications she gets. However, when she opens the app there’s no counter badge on the globe notifications icon and when she goes into notifications there’s no recent stuff listed. Newest is about 10 hours previous and, interestingly, those listed are not entirely in chronological order. However, if she logs into the Facebook website on desktop the globe icon has the appropriate badge and shows all recent notifications. She has logged out and in. She has reinstalled the app. She’s played with notification settings in every way we can think of. Facebook did push an app update today but we both have the same version on the same phone model on the same iOS and I am not experiencing this issue. She did swipe hide a single notification this morning, which is not something she normally does. Short of waiting and hoping the next app update resolves it, any ideas? ---

Facebook does A/B testing so not everyone gets the exact same updates even if you’ve got the same phone and have the same update number, etc. All I can think of is reboot the phone? ---

This has been happening to me and a few other friends on and off for a few months (on various devices and platforms). Sometimes, killing the facebook app and restarting causes it to behave correctly. I just chalk it up to the facebook app being buggy and not being able to handle upstream architecture changes seamlessly. ---

This has been happening on my phone every once in awhile too. Restarting doesn’t do anything. It just won’t update recent notifications for a day or so, then suddenly start working. Once it just filled the globe icon page with “People You May Know” instead of any updates. And just the other day on my tablet, it would only show updates from about 24 hours previously, until I pulled down to refresh. Then it would update to about 22 hours previously, then 20, 18, and so on till it finally got to the current updates. Very, very strange. ---
